Bengalis and foreigners alike gathered last weekend to celebrate Hannah's first birthday with rice and pizza. The bunny cake and decorations were creative, and the Friday afternoon relaxing. We enjoyed selections in Bangla, English, and Mandi from the tri-lingual baby as well as watching her eat her cake without hands or forks. The guests were generous, and now Hannah has a whole new wardrobe of pink outfits - much to her parent's horror.
