The typical way of displaying mishty inside the dokon, flies buzzing around inside the open glass case.
Making parota, the fried flat bread that is eaten with vegetable curry, fried omelet, or lentils for breakfast and sometimes dinner. Parota and mishty are usually sold in the same places.
Yesterday it was about lunch time when 3 of my female co-workers and I stumbled into this mishty (extremely sweet milk cake) dokon (shop) and out of the blinding midday sun. We were in Netrakona for the day, and one of my co-workers wanted to buy some ballish mishty for her 5 year old daughter who has never tasted it, but wanted to taste it. Almost every town in Bangladesh is famous for a different kind of mishty, so when you travel, it is assumed that you will bring home some dripping sweets inside a cardboard box.
